Ocean Safety MOB Lifesaver The MOB Lifesaver is a 3m length of 3mm dayglo coated HMPE rope which has been spliced into a loop with a triangle formed at one end with a polyethylene tube and an EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber O-Ring. The other end is attached with a strap hitch knot to the stout lifting becket in a lifejacket. The Lifesaver can then either be coiled in to the centre of the lifejacket bladder so that it will be on the top of the bladder when the lifejacket inflates and thus float out onto the water, where it can be boathooked by the rescuer or it can be retained in its pouch which is hung off the oral inflation tube or adhered to the bladder with the sticky provided and is thus retained on the bladder when the lifejacket inflates, ready to be boathooked by the rescuer. READY When the lifejacket inflates the Lifesaver is there on top of the bladder ready to be grabbed by the rescuer. SIMPLE Grab the Lifesaver by hand or with the boathook and attach the man to the boat. STRONG Set up your preferred retrieval rig and winch the man back on board.
